There was a temporary scare at the KPJ Specialist Hospital here when it received a bomb threat from an unidentified individual 4.45pm this afternoon.
Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the department was alerted by the police at 5.07 pm and arrived at the hospital about 20 minutes later.
"A total of 117 regular patients, five intensive care unit patients and 169 staff were ordered to evacuate and gather in the hospital compound. Some critically ill patients were also transferred to the Tuanku Ja'afar Seremban Hospital (HTJS),” he said in a statement today.
A check by Bernama found that the premises is being closely monitored by security personnel, and that the situation is under control.
Patients were allowed to re-enter the eight-storey building in stages, from 6.45 pm.
