Rosmah makes third visit to cops' anti-money laundering unit

Rosmah Mansor has once again visited the police's anti-money-laundering unit at Menara KPJ in Kuala Lumpur for further questioning over jewellery and valuables seized from residences linked to her husband, former premier Najib Abdul Razak.
Police sources told Malaysiakini that Rosmah spent three hours having her statement recorded over yesterday during what would have been her third visit to police officers at Menara KPJ.
"She came at about 9.45am and left the building at about 1pm," said the source adding that the investigation was far from over.
Another source familiar with the probe said her latest visit was to allow the continuation of her statement being recorded which was held over form her session last week.
"Yes, police had recorded her statement regarding her possession of the jewellery and handbags," said the source.
Last month, Rosmah together with her sons Norashman and Riza Aziz was summoned for questioning over the jewellery and branded handbags and watches among others seized from the premises linked to Najib.
The trio was questioned close to four hours.
Earlier this year, police seized RM440 million worth of jewellery from the residences as part of their probe into the 1MDB affair.
These included 1,400 necklaces, 2,200 rings, 2,100 bangles, 2,800 earrings, 1,600 brooches and 14 tiaras.
Apart from that, police also seized 567 handbags worth more than RM51.3 million, 423 watches and 234 sunglasses valued at RM79 million and RM374,000 in cash.
On Oct 4, Rosmah claimed trial to 17 counts of money laundering involving over RM7 million.
She has also been charged with soliciting RM187.5 million from a company in exchange for her assistance in securing an RM1.25 billion government contract.
Tomorrow, her application for the money-laundering cases to be transferred to the High Court will be heard before the High Court judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex at Jalan Duta. - Mkini
