Enhanced MCO expanded to areas surrounding KL's Masjid India

Malaysiakini

Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today announced that an area surrounding the iconic Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur will be subjected to the enhanced movement control order (MCO).
Previously, only two apartment buildings in the area were subject to strict lockdown.
Now, the lockdown is expanded to include properties along five nearby roads - Jalan Munshi Abdullah, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Tun Perak, Jalan Melaka and Jalan Ampang.
This is the fifth enhanced MCO after Simpang Renggam, Hulu Langat, City One Plaza along Jalan Munshi Abdullah and the two properties in Masjid India.
"We have decided to implement a fifth enhanced MCO in the Masjid India area as well as the areas surrounding it.
"This is effective April 14 until April 28," he told a press conference in Putrajaya today.
Ismail is the senior minister in charge of security matters and is tasked to coordinate enforcement actions during the MCO.
On April 12, the number of Covid-19 cases in Selangor Mansion almost doubled, increasing from 43 cases to 75 cases.
The number of Covid-19 cases in Malayan Mansion remained at four cases.
Both buildings are predominantly occupied by migrant workers. - Mkini
