PUTRAJAYA: The government will allow a maximum of four people in a car from tomorrow but they must be from the same house.
Senior Minister (Security) Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in announcing this today, said there are no issues with maintaining social distancing for those from the same house as they are staying together.
“We will take action against whoever breaches this rule,” he said during a press conference here today.
Malaysia has reported 103 deaths and 6,176 Covid-19 cases so far.
Ismail also said all public transport vehicles will carry only half their capacity from tomorrow.
If a bus can accommodate 40, then it can only load 20 from tomorrow.
The same rule will apply to LRT trains, Ismail added.
