The Corona Virus numbers have changed around the world. Britain now has the second highest deaths in the world, behind the US but ahead of Italy. 

As you can see eight of the top 12 countries (highest infections and mortality) are Western countries including Canada. And the virus has spread even with their movement restrictions. The mortality is also high, despite Britain, France and the US (for ex) having top rated health care facilities. After this virus is over these countries will have to study these data in detail and come to some useful conclusion why the infection spread so much in their countries.

India is just now beginning to spike. Our neighbour Singapore now has over 6,000 cases - more than Malaysia. The number of cases in Singapore are increasing but their fatalities are only 20 so far with no further increments since the past few days. Also the virus is spreading a lot among foreign workers in the dormitories. Not as much among Singaporeans.

We have to keep an eye on our numbers. It has been six days since the MCO was lifted on the 4th of May, 2020.  Today is the 10th of May. The number of new cases have been above 50 every day. 68 new cases on 8th May and 54 new cases yesterday 9th May, 2020. I hope the new cases can slip way below 50. 

I believe the critical period will be 14 - 21 days after the MCO being lifted ie 18th May onwards.

There are also some new clusters popping up here and there. Chicken farm cluster etc which must be immediately locked down.  It looks like the worst is over. Let us be fully prepared to handle any new spikes.
