Health Ministry: Monitoring for Istana Negara cluster ended last night

Malaysiakini

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today said the monitoring of the Istana Negara Covid-19 cluster has ended, after almost one and a half month.
“The first cluster which the Health Ministry has ended its monitoring of since last night, that is May 17, is the Istana Negara cluster.
“This cluster involved 22 cases and no deaths,” Noor Hisham said in the daily Covid-19 press conference at the Health Ministry.
On March 25, it was reported that seven Istana Negara staff had tested positive for Covid-19.
All close contacts and Istana Negara staff were then instructed to undergo the screening test and also to quarantine themselves for 14 days.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri also took the screening test and were found negative for Covid-19.
Other clusters which the Health Ministry ended its 28-day monitoring for includes the Pengerang cluster which involved 15 cases and zero deaths.
Meanwhile, he noted that the monitoring of the Pudu cluster is still active and it has recorded 17 new cases today, bringing the total number of cases for that cluster to 50. - Mkini
