Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid and her husband Saiful Nizam were fined RM800 each by the Magistrate's Court in Putrajaya today for violating the government's movement control order (MCO) last month.
Magistrate Shah Wirah Abdul Halim meted out the sentences after the two pleaded guilty to charges of breaching Section 3(1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2020.
They were charged with travelling from Kajang to the Environment Department in Putrajaya at 9am on April 20.
Nurulhidayah (above) is the daughter of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The former and her spouse were investigated for breaching the MCO after she posted photographs online of the meeting with Deputy Environment and Water Minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad and de facto Islamic Affairs Minister Zulkifli Mohamad.
