Someone Should Do Comparison Analysis On Court Punishments

single mother initially jailed for violating MCO

B Lisa Christina jail term substituted with RM1,000 fine on appeal
asked why double standards when it came to punishment
eight days in jail, I felt so shattered
unable to see my son, had to borrow RM1,000 to settle penalty

Lisa, has six-year-old son, sent to prison after pleading guilty
Living in 5th floor apartment she had gone down to buy packet drink
stopped to chat with three others when she was caught by police

Her jail term substituted with fine
she had been in prison for eight days

Today, I read that Zahid’s daughter just given RM800 fine and no jail term given
“Am I a second class citizen ?
Why these double standards?
I need an explanation for this,” she said

My comments :  There are enough NGOs in the country. Someone should compare and analyse the court decisions (for similar offences, crimes and the judges involved) meted out to the convicted by race, gender, status, class etc.

There should be a similar comparison analysis about deaths in custody.

Then we can know if there is any truth or correlation in what this woman is saying.
The comments made by this woman Lisa Christina are not to be dismissed lightly.
