WHY DOUBLE STANDARDS IN SENTENCING - RICH & CONNECTED - LOWER FINES, WHILE POOR RAKYAT - MAXIMUM SENTENCE

MCO: Jailed single mum decries double standards in sentencing of Zahid's daughter, son-in-law

The Attorney-General (AG) should immediately APPEAL the sentencing of Zahid Hamidi's eldest daughter, Nurulhidayah and her husband who were only made to pay a fine of RM800 each for defying the MCO.

Ordinary poor Malaysians after pleading for lower fines, were fined RM1,000 and some were even sentence to jail or community service.

This disparity in the sentencing MUST BE REVIEWED immediately by the Judiciary so that the image of the judiciary must be seen to be fair, just and ideal and in accordance to the law.

To the rakyat it seem "DOUBLE-STANDARDS", for the rich and connected, a lower sentence while the poor rakyat, the maximum fine and sentence imposed,

It was further reported that journalists were refused entry to the said Court at Putrajaya to cover the court proceedings of the sentencing of Nurulhidayah and her husband. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
