The Health Ministry is probing allegations that the deaths of several of its officers were allegedly due to Covid-19 vaccinations.
"The MOH is investigating the matter and the public will be informed after the probe is completed," the ministry's pharmaceutical regulatory division said in a statement this evening.
The speculation came after Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah shared last week that 40 healthcare workers had been infected with Covid-19, after receiving two doses of inoculation.
He said 142 other healthcare workers were also infected after getting a single vaccine shot.
However, in all cases, those infected had less severe symptoms.
The MOH in its statement today urged the public not to spread unverified information which could cause confusion. - Mkini
