TV Sarawak (TVS) broadcast journalists will be presenting the 8pm news bulletin from their homes tonight as its newsroom is temporarily closed due to Covid-19.
The news will be presented by its team which includes Steward Dawi, Priscilla John, Nur Suhaida, and Connie Grace.
"The temporary closure of TVS over Covid-19 did not dampen the spirit of our staff. Thanks to technology, the show could go on. For the production to be in a safe environment, where else if not our homes,” said TVS in a statement today.
Also reporting virtually will be anchorman, Khairil Zharif Affindie who tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently in a quarantine centre.
TVS chief executive officer Suhaimi Sulaiman, who was once a news anchor, will also be presenting the bulletin with his staff.
"Not even Covid-19 will stop us from doing what we do best, bringing the latest news to viewers. We just have to be creative," he said.
In line with its mission to deliver fresh and inspiring content, TVS will continue to serve its viewers with informative and entertaining programmes and most importantly to apply lateral thinking skills to overcome obstacles, Suhaimi added.
