KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-five passengers had a narrow escape when the express bus they were travelling in skidded and overturned at Jalan Damansara here early this morning.
A Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department spokesman said 18 personnel from the Hang Tuah and Sentul fire and rescue stations rushed to the scene after a distress call was received at 12.17am.
He said they had to break the windscreen of the double-decker bus, which was travelling from Ipoh, to rescue the passengers and driver.
Several passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment, he said. - FMT
