COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 2,799 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,592,710.
Active cases currently stood at 35,323, up 25.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another eight deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, none of which were declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 5.4 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.4, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,809 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
The state with the highest number of deaths was Selangor (3), followed by Malacca (2), Kedah (1), Perak (1) and Sabah (1).
There are 1,156 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 41 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (152), followed by Johor (85) and Sabah (69). - Mkini
