PN to hold national convention in August

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) will be holding its national convention on Aug 27, says its chairman, Muhyiddin Yassin.

In a Facebook post, Muhyiddin said the convention will also celebrate PN’s second anniversary.

The Bersatu president also said PN’s Supreme Council had met last night to discuss preparations for the next general election (GE15).

He said he briefed the meeting on PN’s recent launch in Kelantan and Terengganu, which had received encouraging support from the people.

The meeting, which he chaired, was attended by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, Gerakan president Dominic Lau, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) president Jeffrey Kitingan and Sabah Progressive Party president Yong Teck Lee.

PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin, PN information chief Azmin Ali and Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal were also present. - FMT
