PETALING JAYA: PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has hit back at Rafizi Ramli over the recent party polls after the former Pandan MP urged members to ignore the “noise” made by defeated candidates.
Earlier, Rafizi, the incoming PKR deputy president, said it was unfortunate that those who lost could not accept their defeat and continued to pressure PKR president Anwar Ibrahim to call for a re-election.
Rafizi claimed that those who lost, most notably Anwar’s former aide Farhash, were questioning the election results to prevent them from being certified at the party’s upcoming national congress.
Responding to this, Farhash said Rafizi’s comments only cast further doubts on the election results and forensic audit report.
He said it seemed that Rafizi wanted to stop “the truth” from coming out.
“I strongly deny Rafizi’s claims, which only serve to slander me and the efforts of the grassroots to ensure transparency of the election results,” he said on Facebook.
“Rafizi should not have made such comments,” said Farhash, who failed in his bid for the Gombak PKR chief’s post and a PKR vice-president’s post.
He added that it was clear that the election process was tampered with and called for a probe into the forensic audit.
Yesterday, Farhash claimed that the party’s election committee had ignored complaints made by several candidates on the online voting system when it released its forensic audit report.
He said the ADIL app used for online voting was problematic and questionable, and that the claims of hacking of the voting system raised in the audit report were simply an attempt by the committee to deflect attention from its failure to uphold transparency in the voting process. - FMT
