KUALA LUMPUR: Heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds can be expected in Bintulu, Miri and Limbang in Sarawak, western Sabah and Labuan until July 12 and the northern states of the peninsula from Monday to Wednesday.
A low-pressure weather system in the western part of the Philippines is moving towards eastern Vietnam and has the potential to bring strong westerly winds and cause squall lines, the meteorological department said.
Warnings of strong winds and rough seas (category two and three) were issued for the South China Sea, Phuket and the northern Straits of Malacca until Friday. - FMT
