Army tank breaks down on highway

The public rarely sees an army tank driving past them on the highway, especially not one that would eventually break down.

However, at approximately 10:27am this morning, a tank stopped on the exit from Jalan Damansara to KL Sentral.

According to Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) command centre, several DBKL traffic officers arrived within minutes of the incident.

The DBKL command centre tweeted an hour later that the tank had been successfully towed to a safe location.

“Case closed,” it said in a tweet.

The incident received responses from several lawmakers, including Lembah Pantai’s Fahmi Fadzil and Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh.

Yeoh tagged Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein to inform him of the rare incident. - Mkini
