PETALING JAYA: The Integra Tower in Kuala Lumpur was evacuated this afternoon after a bomb scare at the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP) office located in the building.
Wangsa Maju police chief Ashari Abu Samah told FMT that police ordered an evacuation after receiving a call about a bomb planted at the KWAP office.
“It was a fake call,” said Ashari.
“The bomb squad searched the building’s 35th and 36th floor and didn’t find anything.”
He added that no one was allowed in the tower for about three hours.
The 40-storey Integra Tower is part of The Intermark, a mixed development located on the busy intersection of Jalan Ampang and Jalan Tun Razak which features a mall and a hotel. KWAP is one of its main tenants. -FMT
