Pakatan Harapan will compete in GE15 with one logo, which will be the Harapan logo, but one that will be redesigned to help project a new image.
"The new shape of the logo will also give a new image and breathe fresh air into ongoing GE15 preparatory efforts," four leaders of the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council said after holding their monthly meeting yesterday.
"In the face of GE15, Harapan will focus on consolidation efforts to strengthen the coalition itself," PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook, Amanah leader Mohamad Sabu and Upko chief Wilfred Madius Tangau said in a joint statement.
Loke also said in a weekly online programme that the parties had agreed in principle that Harapan would use one logo for GE15 and that PKR had called for minor changes be done to rebrand Harapan’s image.”
"I am pleased that we have decided in principle to use one logo for GE15,” he added.
In its victorious GE14 campaign, the Harapan coalition contested under the PKR logo as the Registrar of Societies did not approve the coalition’s registration as a body.
Loke also said he expected seat distribution negotiations and a joint manifesto from the coalition members to be resolved by the end of September. - Mkini
