SUNGAI BULOH: Family members and next-of-kin of those who had perished in the Batang Kali landslide tragedy have begun arriving at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
A number of them were seen entering the hospital's forensic department.
It is understood that they are there to identify the remains of their loved ones.
Many were seen crying and consoling each other as they made their way to the department to begin the identification process.
Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh had earlier arrived at the hospital and entered the forensic department. It was believed that she was there to meet the next-of-kin of the deceased.
The Father's Organic Farm camping grounds in Batang Kali was hit by a landslide around 2am early Friday.
Almost 100 people were believed to have been on the grounds at the time. Apart from families on vacation, the campers had also comprised a group of teachers from SJKC Mun Choong as well as their family members.
The death toll currently stands at 21, with 12 people still missing.
The search and rescue effort has entered its second day, with police having employed tracker dogs to aid the search.
