Nilai teenager missing for nearly a week

PETALING JAYA: Police are looking for a teenager from Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, who has been missing for almost a week.

Nilai police chief Malik Hasim said S Annushia Devi, 17, was last seen entering a woman’s car near her house in Taman Desa Melati, in Nilai, on Dec 9.

“The police have opened an enquiry paper on the missing person after receiving the report last Friday,” he told FMT.

The report lodged by Annushia’s brother, K Parthiben, stated that his sister was still at home at around 10.30am when his mother and him left the house on the day of the incident.

“When my mother and I came back at 2pm, she was gone and couldn’t be contacted,” he said.

Parthiben, 25, told FMT that he had sought help from NGOs and local assemblymen to locate his sister.

He added that Annushia showed no signs of emotional distress prior to her disappearance, adding that this was the first time the teenager had gone missing.
