KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has arrived at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre's Menara Dato' Onn to chair the unity government secretariat meeting.
This is the second meeting convened by the unity secretariat after the first one, which was held early last month.
Anwar, who is also Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman and PKR president, was accompanied by several ministers and deputy ministers in the unity government when he made his way into the venue.
Among them were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof of Gabungan Parti Sarawak,Transport Minister and DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke; Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil of PKR, and Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan of Umno.
Also spotted arriving at Menara Dato Onn to attend the meeting were Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, who is also Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) deputy president; Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, who is also PKR deputy president; and Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who is PKR secretary-general.
It was reported that negotiations over seat distributions for the upcoming six state elections would be among the items discussed in tonight's meeting.
Saifuddin had said the unity government's chief secretariat, Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, would submit a report on the discussion related to seat distributions among political coalitions aligned with the unity government. - NST
