PETALING JAYA: Police arrested four men over a brawl in front of a restaurant in Bandar Rinching, Semenyih, on Thursday.
Kajang district police chief Zaid Hassan said the incident was sparked by a drunk man who approached a burger seller before hurling vulgarities and a beer can at him.
“The drunk man then brandished a retractable knife and a parang and tried to attack the burger seller.
“This led to other men intervening to stop the fight,” said Zaid in a statement.
The four, aged between 28 and 41, were later nabbed to facilitate investigations. They were placed under a four-day remand until March 27.
Police also confiscated the weapons.
The case is being probed for rioting. - FMT
