There is actually an untold story about Mr Lee Kuan Yew's oversized influence on the development of modern China. This is only part of it. China's earliest development of the special economic zones like Shenzen were strongly influenced by the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew. The Singaporeans do not play up this story for obvious reasons - they do not want to crow nor attract any unwarranted attention from anyone. But this part of history will one day be written in full.
