PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) says that he will decide whether to continue as the leader of his party and Perikatan Nasional.
He says that the matter would be discussed after he was charged.
"I have not been charged. After that we will make a decision and announce it," he told reporters outside the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters on Thursday (March 9).
Commenting on support shown by Perikatan supporters, Muhyiddin said he was confident there would not be any riot such as what happened during the Reformation era in 1998.
"We are a peaceful party. We love the country. The rakyat is facing hardship and rioting is not the answer," he said.
Muhyiddin left the MACC headquarters after over nine hours of questioning.
He is expected to be brought to the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex on Friday (March 10) where he will be facing charges. - Star
