PETALING JAYA: A Penang teacher has won a Mercedes-Benz C200 Avantgarde in a lucky draw organised by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).
Khoo Lee Hah, 39, said she never dreamt of winning the luxury car when she opened an account with Simpan SSPN in 2016 to save up for her daughter’s education.
“I opened a Simpan SSPN Plus account after learning about it on social media. It provided many benefits such as takaful protection, tax relief and many more.
“Besides Simpan SSPN Plus, I also opened a Simpan SSPN Prime account and the total amount of my savings is more than RM8,000 a year,” she told reporters when met at the prize-giving ceremony here today.
The second prize of RM100,000 was won by Latinah Dahulin, 37, from Sabah.
The third prize winner was Yip Meng Leong, 49, from Selangor, who won RM50,000.
The prizes were handed over by PTPTN chief executive Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid.
Dasuki said as of Jan 31, Simpan SSPN deposits totalled RM14.38 billion from 5.79 million accounts.
“This achievement proves that Simpan SSPN is on the right track as a competitive savings product. I would like to thank all the loyal depositors who have supported Simpan SSPN,” he said. - FMT
