Harapan women's wing targets 30pct of seats in state polls

 

Pakatan Harapan Women is aiming for its candidates to contest 30 percent of the seats in the upcoming elections in six states.

Its deputy head Fadhlina Sidek (above), who is also PKR Women chief said, however, that the matter was left to the coalition's leadership to decide.

"Since the beginning of this month, we have been mobilised with a series of election training to ensure that our machinery is equipped with various information and is ready for the state polls.

"The launch of the election machinery and Pentas Wanita series of public ceramah will be carried out during the campaign period," she said when contacted by Bernama today.

Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Selangor will be holding their state elections soon.

Fadhlina, who is also the education minister, said Harapan women’s wing will also cooperate with Wanita BN in campaigning in the state polls to ensure the integrity of the unity government.
