A poster circulating online claiming PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang allegedly calling on Muslims to “kill enemies of Islam to overthrow them” is fake, said his press secretary Malik Razak.
Speaking to Malaysiakini today, Malik said Hadi has never uttered those words nor conveyed the messages in the poster.
“The fake poster that has been spread is slanderous and false,” he said.
This comes after the fake poster - which has made its round on social media platforms since this morning - had shown a picture of Hadi next to three messages titled “Tiga amanat buat pejuang Islam” (three messages for warriors of Islam).
Other messages include Hadi allegedly asking Muslims to defame and break relationships if it can help defeat the enemies of Islam.
This comes as elections in six states are fast approaching.
The states due to hold elections this year are PAS-ruled Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan, as well as Pakatan Harapan-held Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. - Mkini
