The question is Saifuddin what are you going to do? You are the Minister of Home Affairs - maybe the most powerful ministry in the entire Cabinet. You have the Police, Immigration, Customs under your control.
The people did not vote for you (you lost the elections) but n'theless you have been appointed the Minister of Home Affairs.
You are telling us openly that the gambling bosses are protected by the politicians. Name the politicians. If you cannot name them personally which party are they from? Are they from UMNO? From MIC or MCA? From PKR, DAP? Just name the party.
You have brought up this matter in Parliament. So this is a problem in our country. You are actually talking about organised crime.
What can the people do? What can the makcik, pakciks, our neighbour Mr Lim or Mrs Kumar the school teacher do about this? Nothing. The ordinary citizen has no authority or power.
That is where you come in. You are the government, you are the minister in charge, you have the authority and the power. As a Minister you must have taken an oath somewhere to uphold the laws and the constitution of this country. To protect the people and the country and to uphold the law.
So please do your job. Do not be afraid. The people will be with you. The people will fully support you 100% if you use all your authority and power to uphold the law.
Saifuddin jangan pula after another six months you make the same speech in Parliament. That means something else is going on.
