Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof says a 23-second clip that has gone viral depicts the alleged incident at Gate A of the station.

PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down a man suspected of sexually harassing a woman at the Kajang MRT station following a video of the incident which has gone viral.
Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 23-second clip, which surfaced on social media platform Threads, showed the alleged incident at Gate A of the station at 9am yesterday.
“Efforts to trace and arrest the suspect are ongoing,” he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which provides for up to five years’ imprisonment, a fine or both, upon conviction.
Naazron advised the public not to speculate or further circulate the video, warning that such actions could disrupt public order and cause unease.
Action can be taken against those who spread the video under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, he added. - FMT
