Three family members were killed in a house fire in Desa Mawar, Muadzam Shah, Rompin early this morning.

Pahang fire and rescue department (operations) assistant director Salahuddin Isa said an emergency call was received at 4.11am and a team of firefighters was deployed to the scene.

He said the fire claimed the lives of a man, his wife and their son, while two other children survived.

The blaze also destroyed the family’s home, while a neighbouring house was about 70% damaged. All six occupants escaped unharmed.

The cause of the fire and the total value of losses are still under investigation. - FMT
