Perak MB confirms his political secretary’s resignation

 Saarani Mohamad says he did not want to speculate on social media claims, only saying his aide needed medical treatment.

Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad said he received his political secretary’s resignation letter on Aug 10.

Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad has confirmed that his political secretary, Hamidi Baharuddin, has resigned effective Aug 17.

Saarani said the resignation letter was received on Aug 10, and Hamidi cited health factors as the reason for his decision, noting he needed time to seek medical treatment.

He made the remarks to reporters after officiating the Invest in Perak Day 2026 programme here today, responding to speculation on social media concerning his political secretary.

Saarani stressed that he would not speculate on these allegations. - FMT
