TEMERLOH, Feb 22 — Kuala Krau Umno deputy division chief Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad will contest the Kerdau by-election on March 6, party deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced today.
The Pahang state seat fell vacant when incumbent Datuk Zaharuddin Abu Kassim died on February 12.
The Election Commission has fixed February 26 as nomination day and March 6 as polling day, simultaneously with the Merlimau by-election in Malacca.
