The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) defacto leader said today that no youth movement would be supportive of a government administration which practiced cronyism and corruption at the highest level of power.
“I have no fear at all,” Anwar told a gathering of 200 people during a session with young professionals here.
“No youth movement would support a decadent, corrupt, obsolete system, I am sure they (young voters) will not defend it,” Anwar stressed.
Prime Minister Najib called on youths yesterday to defend Putrajaya from the opposition if they wished to see Malaysia transformed into a developed country.
His deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had told reporters that the total visitors to the assembly surpassed the one million mark.
While Najib has argued his case for economic transformation by keeping BN in Putrajaya, PKR has charged that only way for change was through political reforms — by voting for a change in the federal government.
