Sighting for the Syawal moon to determine the Hari Raya Aidilfitri date will be on August 29, the Office of the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal announced today.
It will be determined by both sighting (rukyah) and astronomical calculations (hisab), with the decision announced on that night via TV and radio, as agreed by the Conference of Rulers.

Melaka: Kompleks Falak Al-Khawarizmi, Kampung Balik Batu in Tanjung Bidara
Negeri Sembilan: Teluk Kemang in Port Dickson
Selangor: Bukit Melawati, Pulau Angsa, Bukit Jugra and Balai Cerap Selangor
Perak: Pantai Pasir Panjang in Manjong
Penang: Pusat Falak Sheikh Tahir in Pantai Aceh
Kedah: Kampung Pulau Sayak, Pemandangan Indah Langkawi and Alor Setar Tower (Kedah).
Terengganu: Bukit Besar in Kuala Terengganu, Bukit Kemuning in Kemaman, Pulau Perhentian, and Balai Cerap KUSZA in Setiu.
Kelantan: Bukit Peraksi in Pasir Putih, Bukit Kampung Tembeling in Kuala Krai and the SEDC tower block in Kota Baharu
Pahang: Bukit Tanjong Batu in Nenasi, Gunung Berincang in Cameron Highlands and Bukit Pelindong.
