GEORGE TOWN - DAP chairman Karpal Singh was awarded RM2.018mil in damages for his civil suit against a bank manager over an accident in January 2005 which confined him to a wheelchair.
The accident occurred at Jalan Utama here at 12.15am on Jan 29, 2005. It was reported that the car, driven by the bank manager, had rammed into a taxi which Karpal was in.
