The Lembah Pantai MP says that a complaint will be filed by the end of the week.
PETALING JAYA: A complaint will be lodged with the National Registration Department, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the police to look into the problem of foreign nationals in Gasing Indah.
Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar said: “We are in the midst of preparing an official tripartite complaint.” The complaint would be filed by the end of this week.
She added that a complaint has also been lodged through the government E-Aduan website
She said this in response to allegations that DBKL had allowed foreign nationals to encroach into Gasing Indah housing estate in Lembah Pantai.
Gasing Indah residents claimed some 20 shoplots are under construction and the ‘green’ area bordering the colony has been turned into a goat farm with a fish pond.
Umno is expected to be fiield current Federal Territories and Urban Well Being minister Raja Nong Chik Zainal Abidin to contest in Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat in the 13th general election.
On allegations that the foreigners would be BN’s vote bank, Nurul admitted that she does not have evidence to back this.
“We need to prove. I don’t have proof that they are registered voters.
“That is why we’ll need to wait for the authorities to investigate,” said Nurul, who added that a complaint will also be lodged to the immigration department.
