After Ambiga, now S'pore is Umno's scapegoat

YOURSAY 'The Chinese bogeyman taking over the simpleton Malays is a scene played over and over again whenever Umno feels insecure.'
Utusan: Singapore has big plans for GE13

your sayLim Chong Leong: I think Singapore former PM Lee Kuan Yew is more cosy with 'first lady' Rosmah Mansor after having tea and kuih-muih at Seri Perdana once when 'Ah Jib Gor' (Brother Najib) was on an overseas trip.

Umno is sowing the seeds of hatred and fear again. The Chinese bogeyman taking over the simpleton Malays is a scene played over and over again whenever Umno feels insecure about its hold on power.

It has always worked well for them. It is up to us to dispel this myth come GE13. Remember my Malay friends and family, Umno is the sole cause of your weaknesses.

lee kuan yew list of vip he visited for his malaysia trip 180609Betelnut: We are not blind. We know that during Lee Kuan Yew's eight-day visitto Kuala Lumpur in 2009, apart from Penang CM Lim Guan Eng, he also met PM Najib Razak, DPM Muhyiddin Yassin, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, former PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, as well as the Agong.

Three years later, only the Lim meeting is being singled out. Yes, we can see whatUtusan's agenda is.

Stevenadosan: Awang Selamat, have you got nothing to stir? When Lee visited the PM's wife Rosmah Mansor, why were you so quiet? You did not dare to create a stir, right? So what are you trying to stir now?

Anonymous #63753867: Did Lee ever visit Najib? No, he paid a courtesy call to only one of the three current prime ministers - Rosmah Mansor. He did not visit the other two - Najib and Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Don't Just Talk: What is Umno's proxy newspaper Utusan Malaysiatrying to prove? Clearly, it is trying to scare the kampong Malays into voting for Umno-BN.

Use your head, why would Singapore be interested in Malaysia when our debt to GDP is nearing 55 percent or half a trillion of ringgit, especially at the rate PM Najib Razak is dishing out billions to gain voter support?

This Awang Selamat columnist is a stupid writer with stupid ideas.
Vgeorgemy: Awang Selamat, everyone knows how close Singapore's leadership with Umno in suppressing the democratic aspirations of Malaysians.

Can you cite how many Umno members have been denied permission to enter Singapore? We can cite many names from the opposition and the NGOs.

We won't be surprised if Singapore comes out with statement supporting Awang Selamat's assertion. Singapore has most to lose if Pakatan Rakyat comes to power.

Supercession: And why would Singapore want to help DAP and Pakatan make Malaysia progressive and therefore a threat to Singapore?

Wouldn't Singapore rather have Umno remaining in charge so that Malaysia would sink?

Geronimo: If Umno falls, it will be a loss to the PAP because it is benefiting in terms of foreign trade, etc, due to the incompetency of Umno.

What's more with its religious and racial bigotries, many countries are putting Malaysia at arm's length before they even decide to invest a single cent here.

Singapore would prefer Malaysia to be continued run by idiots, morons and nincompoops. After four years, the PAP knows what Pakatan is capable of and the results are there for all to see. They know Pakatan will not be a pushover.

Jbsuara: This is another one of those far fetched, half-past-six ideas coming from the imagination of an Utusan columnist whose mind-set is frozen in the 1960s, working for an equally archaic newspaper which is more keen about the yesteryears than keeping up with the latest news and developments of today.

This is sad that this 'has been' daily has lost touch with the current political reality. The PAP and DAP of today are simply totally separate political entities from two different countries. Please wake up, Utusan.

Hasrul Junaidi: The Malays are being fed with a lot of rubbish by Umno-controlled Utusan. They think that they are living under a coconut shell.

CiViC: Just look at what BN has dragged Malaysia into. It's bad enough to have instigated racial tension and religious conflicts within the country, they are now moving outwards to other countries with their shameless lies and baseless allegations. Will there ever be hope for Malaysia?

Anonymous #07443216: At last, Awang Selamat is showing us that he indeed does have a small amount of grey matter between his ears. But then, Awang Selamat has better mind his wild allegations against Singapore lest he upsets Lee senior.

Awang, be reminded that your big boss' skeletons are being looked after by senior Lee's intelligence agency. If Lee is upset with you, then you will never know what he will do with some of your boss's skeletons in his possession.

Anonymous_5fb: Awang Selamat, why don't you write something about why Singapore is not part of Johor? Who sold Temasek to Stamford Raffles?

Now that you see other people can develop Singapore from a backwater to a cosmopolitan city, you are jealous? You are ‘sampah masyarakat', like what rapper Namewee once proclaimed.

Thana55: Najib, you speak with a forked tongue. According to your classification recently, this Awang Selamat is a lunatic. Do us all a favour and lock him up in a mental asylum where he belongs.

Queenie: This is nothing but a feeble attempt to draw attention away from the many scandals and the corruption at home.

Anonymous #40538199: The doctor's same old record is playing over and over again.

Step 1 - use the race issue and blame things on the Chinese. If step 1 is not working, go to step 2 - use the religion issue and blame things on the non-Muslims.

If that still isn't working, go to step 3 - use external threats and blame the Singaporeans or the Jews.

Compass: Why doesn't Awang Selamat also speculate that Kazakhstan is planning to take over Malaysia by first getting one of its own to marry Najib's daughter?

That would be an even more outrageous story befitting his newspaper. - Malaysiakini
