Opposition Pact Incapable Of Leading The Country - Najib

Opposition Pact Incapable Of Leading The Country - Najib
LUMUT -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today pointed out that the opposition pact comprising three different political parties are willing to pretend among themselves purely to topple the Barisan Nasional (BN) government in the general election.
However, the BN, unlike the opposition pact, never talked about wanting to topple any political party, said the Prime Minister.
"That is their only objective, and this does not mean that they can be trusted to lead our country," he said when addressing the people at a gathering at the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium in conjunction with his visit to south Perak.
Najib said members of the opposition pact were in reality at loggerheads with each other and that was why they dared not form a shadow cabinet, did not contest in the general election using a common symbol or present only a single election manifesto all this while.
On the contrary, the BN was a united government party and acted as one voice in promoting the national development agenda, he said.
Najib pointed out that the BN was a responsible government which carried out its responsibility to the people in the best manner possible.
He said this was reflected in the tabling of the 2013 budget recently which aimed to bring prosperity and development to the country and people.
The Prime Minister reminded the people not to be deceived by the sweet promises made by the opposition.
Drawing the people's attention to the oratory skill of the opposition, Najib said: "However, the general election is not about oratory skill of the speakers. If we want to choose good orators, then we should choose the medicine sellers by the roadside who claim that their medicines can cure various ailments."
He also drew the attention of the people to the leader of an opposition party who left the party after realising that the agenda of the party's struggle actually jeopardised the country.
