In January, earlier this year, UMNO sent their thugs to disrupt and prevent the ABU-Hindraf ceramah in Jalan Kebun, Klang from even taking off.
One young man suffered head injuries and had to be hospitalised.
We did not retaliate.
In my “UMNO, & PDRM at their sterling best” post, I wrote :
“…when the police finally arrived after the mob have left the ceramah hall, I pointed out one of the mobsters who was still there to the uniformed police officers.
Later, this individual was seen leaning against the squad car and chatting with the uniformed officers.
Inquiries later revealed that he was a plain clothes police officer.
SB.
…My sense by then was that there was collusion between the mobsters and the police”.
Subsequently, several others and I, during an identification parade, picked out this thug as being the person who appeared to lead the mob at Klang that night.
His name, address and the fullest details possible had previously been provided to the police.
To this day, no charges for the mayhem caused that night.
In April, Occupy Dataran kicked off.
In the early hours of 19th April, this same thug, along with a large group, attacked the camp.
One injured.
Again, there was no retaliation.
This time, police were present but just watched as the Occupiers were assaulted and robbed.
There have been several incidences of violence by mobs since.
Through all this, Najib has remained deathly silent.
No reprimand.
Nothing.
The latest?
Felda Settlers’ Children’s Association (Anak) 30-car convoy was attacked by BN supporters in Negeri Sembilan on 23rd December, in the presence of police and Rela officers.
Two injured.
Again, no retaliation.
Malaysiakini has the report HERE.
Like all of you, I am sure, I too, abhor violence, of any kind.
Yet, my sense is that this thuggish bullying by UMNO’s paid lackeys is not going to ease up.
How long do we go on enduring this thuggish violence intended to stifle the voice of the people?
Is it not time now to say, “Enough is enough”?
No more?
