DON'T PLAY DIRTY: Speak for yourself - Husam tells Adnan

PAS candidate for Putrajaya parliamentary seat Husam Musa has rubbished his rival UMNO secretary general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor's call on him not to play dirty.

Instead, said Husam, Adnan should look into the mirror before uttering such statements.

Adnan, who faces his toughest test yet at the coming polls following Husam's candidacy, was quoted as saying that he hoped Husam would not use dirty tactics to obtain votes.

“He told me not to play dirty politics. I haven’t done anything, and I will not play dirty. He should take his own advice,” said Husam, the PAS vice president.

Husam also cited the publication of a booklet against him in the current campaign, Politik Wang dan Kronisme (Husam Musa: Money Politics and Cronyism).

The booklet, containing several accusations against the PAS leader, is anonymously published.

A police report was lodged on the matter.

Husam's talks and walkabouts have attracted large crowds in this city where a big chunk of voters are civil servants.

The unprecedented public support prompted BN deputy chairman Muhyiddin Yassin to also join Adnan's campaign, claiming that Husam had been sent by PAS to Putrajaya as a sacrificial lamb so that he would not take over the post of the Kelantan Menteri Besar.

Muhyiddin's statement however appears to agree with the wide held view that Kelantan will remain under PAS after the coming polls.
