Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is the latest leader to join the long queue out to slam former premier Mahathir Mohamad for calling for an to vernacular schools and for Malaysian history to be "rewritten".
"Dr Mahathir is obsolete in his views, he represents the old school that is no longer relevant. He must at least try to be in sync with the feelings and mood of the people. But for him Malay interests means his family control of interest in Petronas, not helping the Malays masses. There has always been a disconnect there for him," Anwar told a press conference on Wednesday.
