Rally ends without any major incident

The heavy haze was blamed for the poor turnout as Pakatan Rakyat had originally targeted 300,000 to attend the event.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Black 505 rally organised by the Pakatan Rakyat ended here a few minutes ago without any major incident.
The rally, which attracted some 30,000 opposition supporters, ended after speeches by opposition leaders who used the platform to bash the Election Commission and the way it was conducted the just concluded 13th general election.
However, rally organisers want the crowd to stay on the field until the Election Commision’s top officials submit their resignation.
Earlier, Pakatan Rakyat — made up of PAS, PKR and DAP, supporters met at seven meeting points around the federal capital and marched to Padang Merbok, the venue of the Black 505 rally.
The heavy haze was blamed for the poor turnout as Pakatan Rakyat had originally targeted 300,000 to attend the event.
The crowd, citing fatigue and the haze, were seen leaving the venue even before speeches by top Pakatan Rakyat leaders.
The police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall officials did not interfere in the proceedings this afternoon and there were no reports of any major incident.
