Sanjeevan: Why the delay in investigations?

Instead of investigating his shooting case, MyWatch chief claims, the police are investigating him while delaying the case.
PETALING JAYA: MyWatch chairman R Sri Sanjeevan, who was shot by unknown assailants in July, wants to know why investigations into his shooting had been delayed.
He also claims that the police are now investigating him instead.
“The IGP (Khalid Abu Bakar) at a press conference gave an assurance that a thorough investigation will be conducted on my shooting, however till now no one has been arrested,” Sanjeevan said.
Sanjeevan claimed that he had been called to Bukit Aman to give his statement on the incident.
“Instead of investigating the matter, the police is investigating me”, Sanjeevan told FMT, when contacted.
The anti-crime NGO MyWatch chief cheated death when he was shot by a pillion rider, on July 27, at a traffic light in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan.
One bullet pierced his lung, causing an infection which delayed surgery to remove the bullet.
Sanjeevan is currently undergoing routine medical check-ups and is still unable to move his right arm due to a damaged vein. He explained that the bullet had entered his arm and traveled to his rib cage.
On July 29, FMT reported that the Negeri Sembilan state police chief vowed to investigate the shooting incident by forming a task force and would work together with Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department to solve the case.
Before the shooting incident, it was reported that Sanjeevan had made revelations of politicians interfering with police work and that criminal elements had infiltrated the police force. It was also suggested that the police had direct links with underworld figures.
