US Ambbassador "Clears Air" With Wisma Putra?

First here are the Indonesian, Chinese and Thai versions :

1. Indonesian : 

• Indonesia summons Australian ambassador over report embassies were spy hubs
• Indonesia dubbed such actions "a serious breach of diplomatic norms and ethics" 
• summoned Ambassador Greg Moriarty 
• Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said deeply concerning and unacceptable

2. Chinese : "China is severely concerned about the reports, and demands a clarification and explanation," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Thursday.

"..in terms of trust, in terms of the damage — that may be resulting, is something that we must all reflect on."

3. Thailand : Thailand's National Security Council Secretary-General, Lt. Gen. Paradorn Pattanathabutr, said the government told the U.S. that spying was a crime under Thai laws, and that Thailand would not co-operate if asked to help eavesdrop.

4. Now here is the Malaysian version.

• US Embassy "clears air" with Wisma Putra over surveillance claims
• Wisma Putra has obtained clarification from US ambassador Joseph Y. Yun
• Wisma Putra said Yun responded surveillance activities for security, identify terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
• Yun assured that the privacy of individuals would not be affected.

These were the same assurances given by the US to Angela Merkel the German Chancellor, to the Brazilian president and 35 other heads of State.  If the US was not snooping, then why did the US tap the phones and emails of 35 heads of State? Were they suspected terrorists too? 

Arent we all just the happy cows. They have explained. So we have to accept. Nak kata apa lagi.
