Najib must STEP DOWN WITHOUT DELAY, says son of former Deputy Prime Minister

Son of former deputy prime minister Ghafar Baba, Tamrin Ghafar has urged Najib Razak to step down as Prime Minister for the country’s lacklustre performance in economy and his failure to honour promises made prior to the 13th General Election last year.

“I want Najib to immediately step down, it can’t be delay any longer, because the country now is in a terrible state in terms of economy.

Apart from that, Najib is seen as not honouring his promises made in the last election and he is taking a ‘don’t care attitude’ and being irresponsible for what is happening now,” Tamrin told Harakahdaily today.

Tamrin said Najib had promised that fuel prices would not go up but yet he revised the price higher soon after the election under the subsidy rationalisation plan.

The former Mara chairman said Najib had done nothing thus far in solving racial and religious tension, corruption and power abuses.

“Everything has gone worse and the government has failed to solve it,” he said.

Tamrin, who joined PAS in 2012, said the time has come for the country to have a more responsible leader who could understand the people’s hardships.

The longer Najib stays on as Prime Minister, Tamrin said the country’s economy and administration would continue to deteriorate and in the end, the people would need to shoulder the burden of national debts reaching RM600 billion. - Harakahdaily
