Ganabatirau said that while he was ready to face his voters in a snap election, he questioned if Khalid was willing to do the same.
"Today's sacking means he does not need PKR and DAP.
"But I dare him to allow for snap elections to be held and meet his constituents for a fresh mandate.
"All this while, he gave the impression that he was a clean man, transparent and had no dealings with the federal government," he said.
PKR exco member Elizabeth Wong expressed shock with the sacking, saying that she has yet to receive any notice and only heard about it in the media.
"It is quite shocking, this is the first time the majority of the exco has been sacked like this.
"This is despite the fact that we have given our commitment to remain in the exco and continue to administer the state to the best of our ability," she said.
