The UPSR examinations this week has been hit by the leak of two papers. - The Malaysian Insider pic by Nazir Sufari, September 12, 2014.Putrajaya has suspended the top two examinations syndicate officers over the UPSR examination leaks this week that affected nearly 500,000 students nationwide.
Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the suspension of Examinations Syndicate director Dr Na'imah Ishak and the deputy director of operations Dr Wan Ilias Wan Salleh with immediate effect today, Bernama reported.
Muhyiddin, who is also deputy prime minister, said that the two civil servants should be held responsible for having tarnished the image of the ministry and that of public examinations.
Muhyiddin arrived back in Malaysia today following a working trip to Vientiane, Laos.
