Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob has apologised for not helping the flood victims in his constituency of Pasir Pekan, saying that he was stranded at home ever since water began entering his home yesterday.
"I apologise to all the rakyat, especially those in my constituency as I am currently facing difficulty trying to go out and distribute aid because I am also trapped as water has started to enter my home," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.
"Let us pray together, perform solat hajat and not give up on Allah so that all the people of Kelantan are saved from this disaster."
But he assured that the state government would work together with the federal government to manage the flood, which is said to be one of the country's worst in decades.
