PAS has postponed a briefing on the Kelantan Hudud bill due to worsening floods in the state, and said a special state assembly sitting to amend state laws could also be delayed.
"It is highly likely that it will be postponed but you should wait for the official announcement from the state government," said PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali today.
Mustafa said a new date will be announced for the briefing, which is supposed to take place before the state assembly convenes Monday on the implementation of the Islamic penal code.
"In view of the flood situation which has not only affected Kelantan and Terengganu but other states as well, and the fact that the leaders in the respective states may not be able to join the briefing as they are busy attending flood relief in the affected areas, we decided to postpone it to a later date.," he said.
